As with all, you change me. I feel the pressure. I try for be perfect diving into your depths. Despite the lack of oxygen, I love it. It’s yellow shade keeps me warm. It reminds me of smiley faces and an enchanting, imaginary bear.
I always want to stay under longer.
I am practicing to be a merman! People say they don’t exist. They say “one day you are going to drown.” They tell me, “do this and don’t do that.” It’s all a little sappy.
Whenever I return to the water, some people leave. I smile at the others and they wave back as I plunge breathlessly back into your yellow.
